How to get your honor pin!
Honor Pins will be awarded each week at Flag Ceremony. Students demonstrating the following life skills will be eligible to receive the Honor Pin:
Be Respectful and Responsible
- Respectful: To demonstrate esteem for someone or something. Show that a person or thing is valued.
- Responsible: To be accountable for what you say and do. This includes having homework and classwork completed on time.
On time and on task
- Time: Arrive at school on time and return from recess and lunch promptly.
- Task: Focus on your work and complete it in a timely manner.
Believe in yourself
Caring, Courteous, Considerate, and Common sense
- Caring: Feeling and showing concern for others.
- Courteous: Polite behavior in words and actions.
- Considerate: Having regard for the needs or feelings of others; thoughtful.
- Common Sense: To use good judgment
Always do your Personal Best
- Personal Best: Doing the best you can at all times and in all areas.
Trustworthiness and Truthfulness
- Trustworthiness: A sense of fairness, someone who you can rely on and you know will do the right thing.
- Truthfulness: To tell the truth is a fundamental cornerstone in the classroom, in school, and in life.
Sincerity in what you say and do, and Sense of Humor
- Sincerity: Acting without false appearance or nature.
- Sense of Humor: To laugh and be playful without harming others.
